Kelly Warnick, a 2019 graduate of DACC’s Health Technology and Nursing program and Thomas Worthington High School, is steadily advancing her career in healthcare. Kelly currently works as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at The Laurels of Worthington through Laurel Health Care Company, while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Healthcare Administration through the University of Akron’s online program.
Reflecting on her time at DACC, Kelly shares how the program was instrumental in shaping her career path. “DACC helped me by getting my foot in the door to what would be my permanent career path,” she explains. The hands-on experience and certifications she gained through the Health Technology and Nursing program laid the groundwork for her success and confidence in the field.
Kelly’s advice to current and future DACC students is both practical and supportive: “Don’t be afraid to speak up if you’re struggling. Your lab instructors and academic instructors are there to help you find solutions.” Her words serve as a reminder to students that they are not alone on their journey and that seeking help is an important part of personal and professional growth.
