DACC Staff Spotlight: Danielle Huffman, Math Instructor
Danielle Huffman is in her 7th year at DACC.
“I really enjoy getting to know the students each year,” says Danielle. “Making connections with them through 4-H and other common interests is awesome. I like seeing the students who think they are 'bad' at math get more confident in their ability. They tell me that they have never understood math before or gotten good grades. Watching students become participants in their learning instead of just sitting back and listening is amazing and rewarding. So many students have told me that they have never had a teacher care so much about their learning or been willing to take the extra time to make sure they understand a concept and help.”
Danielle has a 2-year-old dog named Piper who often makes appearances on Teams (virtual) meetings. Danielle enjoys sharing a picture or funny video of her whenever she can.
When she’s not teaching, Danielle enjoys reading, watching TV, playing with her dog, and hanging out with friends and family. She and her friends enjoy hiking and exploring small towns when they take vacations together. Danielle is also an advisor for a 4-H club and is very active all year long.
