DACC Staff Spotlight: Britany Friece, English Instructor
Britany Friece has been teaching at DACC for six years. Before DACC, she taught at a small, rural district for five years, was a case manager at a mental health facility, and worked in sales.
Britany's favorite teaching memories: “I had a prank war with my class - and lost. Another great memory is when my English 11 class did a Shark Tank presentation - I got to give out money with my face on it and the kids came up with great inventions! It was a lot of fun!”
Britany has 6-month-old baby boy named Cooper and a 15-year-old Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix) named Roxy.
When not teaching, Britany loves to travel, especially to the beach. She also loves to ski, listen to music, binge-watch television, read, go out to eat, golf, and hang out with family and friends.
Favorite quote: “The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.”- Elie Wiesel (Holocaust Survivor).
