Mike White, a 2003 graduate of DACC’s Cisco Networking Academy, has been inducted into the 2024 DACC Hall of Fame in recognition of his significant contributions to higher education and his leadership at Marion Technical College.

As a student at DACC, Mike was a standout, earning third place in the Oracle Database competition as part of the Business Professionals of America. After DACC, he attended The Ohio State University at Marion, where he earned a degree in Elementary Education. His passion for technology and education led him to pursue a Master’s degree in Educational Technology.

Mike’s true calling came when he joined Marion Technical College, where he now serves as the Associate Dean of Technical Programs. In this role, Mike oversees several departments, including Business Information Technology and Criminal Justice, and plays a key role in correctional higher education programs. His leadership in implementing the Second Chance Pell Grant program has enabled record numbers of graduates at two correctional facilities.

Beyond his work at Marion Tech, Mike has co-led two National Science Foundation grants and actively contributes to the local community through leadership programs with the Delaware and Marion Chambers of Commerce. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education with a focus on Community College Leadership, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to education.

Mike’s dedication to expanding educational opportunities and his impact on students’ lives makes him a deserving inductee into the 2024 Hall of Fame.
