Gabby Cheadle, a 2018 graduate of DACC’s Agriculture Science program, is now shaping young minds as an Agricultural Education Teacher at Centerburg High School. Having attended both Big Walnut and Buckeye Valley High Schools, Gabby discovered her passion for agriculture during her time in the DACC and Big Walnut ag science courses, where she was also actively involved in FFA.
Gabby credits DACC and the opportunities provided through the Agriculture Science program for guiding her career path. “Being involved in the Big Walnut - DACC ag science courses and FFA led me to my career choice,” she explains. “It opened doors and opportunities I wouldn’t have known existed without it.” Her experience in the program not only provided her with valuable knowledge and skills but also inspired her to become an educator, where she now passes that same passion for agriculture on to her students.
When offering advice to current DACC students, Gabby emphasizes the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone: “Embrace the unknown and uncomfortable. Being out of your comfort zone is how you grow and learn,” she advises. It’s this mindset that helped Gabby navigate her own educational journey and find success in her career.
Gabby Cheadle’s story is a testament to how DACC programs provide students with the tools and opportunities they need to pursue fulfilling careers. Her commitment to sharing her knowledge with the next generation is a wonderful example of how education can come full circle.
