DACC ECE

As part of a Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) community service project, DACC’s Early Childhood Education program students recently crafted handmade blankets that will become part of the welcome packages at Nationwide Children's Hospital's Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families with children receiving medical care, providing comfort during challenging times. The blankets made by DACC students are more than just a piece of fabric; they symbolize warmth, hope, and the kindness of the community, intended to bring solace and a sense of home to those undergoing difficult journeys.

Projects like these allow our students to develop their skills and creativity and contribute meaningfully to our community. This initiative supports DACC's commitment to fostering a sense of social responsibility among its students, encouraging them to connect with and contribute significantly to their community. The FCCLA's focus on leadership and family values shines through this project, highlighting the importance of giving back and supporting those in need.
