Kayla Klugh attended Olentangy High School and graduated from DACC’s Health Technology program in 2016. Today, she works for Dublin Methodist Hospital as a patient support assistant while in school. However, she has been working for OhioHealth since 2016. She started in the lab - thanks to the DACC partnership with OhioHealth phlebotomy.
She worked there through college and became an occupational therapy assistant. She worked with OhioHealth at Home from 2018-2022. In 2022, she decided she wanted to return to school and change career paths to nursing. She is due to graduate with her RN next May! She will then work on her BSN and eventually a master’s for either NP or education. The ultimate setting she wants to work in is hospice/palliative care. She finds that part of nursing to be so respectful and spiritual. When she’s not at work or school, she loves walking with her husband and their two dogs - Bailey and Mabel.
“DACC helped prep me for all the jobs I have held since graduation. Being part of the phlebotomy class allowed me to get my foot in the door with OhioHealth.”
For current and future DACC students, Kayla has this advice to share, “Study hard, work hard and you will see great results. Don’t be afraid to try and ask questions - that is the best way to learn!”
