The Columbus Airport Police K-9 unit recently visited the DACC Law Enforcement program, showcasing the vital role of K-9s in police work and the diverse career opportunities available in this field.
During the visit, students were given an up-close look at the training and work ethic of these canine officers. Gaia, Asya, and Henk, three highly trained K-9s, demonstrated various skills essential to law enforcement, including substance detection and obedience drills. These demonstrations provided the students with a firsthand glimpse into what it’s like to work with K-9s in the field of law enforcement.
