Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) marked National Manufacturing Day by providing students from the DACC/Dempsey and DACC/Buckeye Valley middle school CBI programs with a valuable opportunity to visit and learn from several manufacturing businesses in Delaware County.
National Manufacturing Day is crucial as it sheds light on the essential role manufacturing plays in our economy and our communities, fostering awareness and appreciation for this significant sector.
Our students had a meaningful day learning about the manufacturing industry’s diverse aspects at Luvata, Toolmatics, and Acoust-a-Fiber. These business partners offered informative tours, allowing students to better understand the different manufacturing processes, technologies, and the various career paths available in the sector.
Thank you to Luvata, Toolmatics, and Acoust-a-Fiber for their time and for sharing their expertise with our students. Their contributions were instrumental in making this event impactful and in enlightening our students about the important work they do. And thank you to Ms. Wright and Ms. Francis for continuing this annual tradition of introducing our students to these important career paths.
DACC is committed to empowering, preparing, inspiring, and connecting students to future opportunities. By participating in events such as National Manufacturing Day, we help our students gain insights and experiences that are essential for making informed decisions about their future professions and lives.
At DACC, we aim to provide a quality education for students, fostering connections with local businesses and helping students explore and understand the various career opportunities available, enabling them to make informed choices for their futures.
