
Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs)
Every DACC student is unique - they each come to us with their own history, knowledge, challenges, advantages, and goals. There is no single college and career path that will fit everyone, which is why our DACC staff work with each of our students on the creation of a Personal Learning Plan (PLP).
PLPs guide our students through a series of activities and lessons that help them learn more about themselves, identify their strengths and weaknesses, consider and document their plans upon graduation, and research opportunities to grow as a professional and as an individual.
Throughout this process, our students work with their teachers and non-instructional staff to set goals, obtain resources, track and evaluate their progress, and understand the importance of evidence and documentation of their learning.
The end goal for our students is more confidence and clarity in the college and/or career path they have chosen for themselves, along with a digital portfolio that they can take with them after graduation.
