Program Highlights:
Weave zoology, statistics, research design, technical paper development, technology, and your love of the animal kingdom together in a very special environment.
This program is academically rigorous. Students should be prepared for an academic and highly collaborative experience, possess strong time management skills, a desire to produce high-quality work, and be a self-directed learner. Strong skills in science are encouraged. In addition to the application, entrance requirements include;
Zoo Research School readiness exam
Minimum of 3 recommendations

Zoo I Program (M-F, 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.)
Zoology-survey of the animal kingdom
Research methods and designs
Authentic research paper development
Statistics (dual college credit option available!)
Zoo safety and protocol
Conservation issues and strategies
Multi-media projects
Zoo II Program (M-F, 7:30 - 10:00 a.m.)
Zoology-comparing form and function
Zoo safety and protocol
Animal husbandry and behavior
Career exploration
Living systems
Special science topics explored
Credit Available:
Zoo School I:
1 science credit (Zoology I)
1 math credit (Statistics)
1 elective credit (Zoo Research)
Zoo School II:
1 advanced science credit (Zoology II)
2 elective credits (Zoo Research)
Dual Credit available through the University of Findlay
College credits available through articulation agreements with Hocking College and through Career-Technical Assurance Guide (CTAGs)
CTAGs are transferrable to Ohio public colleges. Credits vary per program.

This program is participating in the Chromebook One to One Experience. An additional one-time fee to purchase a Chromebook will be waived if you are a returning student who has already participated in the Chromebook One to One Experience or if you are bringing your own technology.
