At the Delaware Area Career Center, the health, safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. As a school district, we are closely monitoring the situation and taking guidance from local and federal health officials as well as working with our staff to take necessary precautions.

February 23rd, 2021 Update
The Delaware Area Career Center will be moving to Plan A: Fully In Person, beginning March 15th, 2021.
We understand that each individual family is unique and will have questions not addressed in the district-wide Return to School Plan. Please use this form to submit your questions so that the appropriate staff member may contact you with more information.

Students will attend school all 5 days a week for their lab and academic courses beginning March 15th, 2021
As new guidance from health officials becomes available, DACC responds by adjusting safety protocols for students and staff.
In preparation for academic students to return on February 1st in a blended model, Superintendent Freeman reviews safety protocols and addresses new strains of COVID-19.
January 14th, 2021: District will move to Plan B: Labs and Academics Blended, beginning February 1st
Students will follow the Blue/Green rotation on a blended model for both labs and academics. Exceptions to this are Cosmetology, Fire Service Training, Food Service, and Hospitality. Those programs will continue to attend lab five days a week for their lab program.

As we get closer to the beginning of the school year, Superintendent Freeman shares reassurance that the DACC Return to School Plan is remaining unchanged.
Principal Gaskill emailed detailed information about returning to school, including upcoming dates and important action items we are asking families to take before school resumes.

On this first day of remote learning, more information has been sent home about the expectations we have of our students, along with supports that we are continuing to offer them.

The district's response to Governor Mike DeWine's announcement regarding K-12 schools closing to students for three weeks.
With the recently elevated discussion regarding the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the news, DACC is working closely with local health officials to minimize the spread of the disease.
Simple ways to protect yourself and your family include:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Handwashing for at least 20 seconds
- Avoid touching face, eyes, nose, etc
- Stay home when you are sick and visit your doctor
- Cough or sneeze into a tissue and immediately throw the tissue in the trash
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces often
