Students learn employability skills and model them by working within various areas of the school.
The class work exposes students to careers and opportunities here at DACC and beyond. Students are prepared to enter the workforce, military, or pursue higher education using the skills and information provided in the Career Based Intervention (CBI) program.
Preference will be given to students already enrolled in a middle school DACC CBI program.

The CBI program will assist students in attaining academic competence, employability skills, career direction, independent living skills, and physical and emotional well-being.
These opportunities for student success occur within a supportive environment that provides diverse opportunities for students to experience Career Exploration using 21st century skills through exposure to multiple applications of technology, classroom discussions, hands on projects and exposure to careers through a combination of guest speakers and actual work experience.

This class is a gateway to work study programs that will allow the student to work part-time during school hours as a Junior, or Senior. Curriculum is focused on general skills that apply to any workplace setting, or career choice.
Promethean (Smartboard) and Chrome Books and various computer applications are frequently used in class lessons and assignments.
