Zero Tolerance Policy

The Delaware Area Career Center Board of Education recognizes that a student has the right to learn in an environment untainted by harassment or discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, military status, national origin, disability, age, and ancestry of person.  Offensive conduct from students, other school employees, or third parties which has the purpose or effect of: unreasonably interfering with learning performance, creating an intimidating, hostile, discriminatory or offensive learning environment which disrupts the educational process, or impeding the legitimate teaching concern of the District, is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated by the Delaware Area Career Center School District.

To insure that such actions do not happen, faculty members at each campus have been designated as Civil Rights Compliance Coordinators to handle all issues involving discrimination or sexual harassment.  The designated coordinators are (covering Title VI, Title IX, Age Discrimination, and Section 504):
