Landscape Olympics

Six Landscape students recently competed in the 2nd Annual Ohio High School Landscape Olympics at OSU ATI in Wooster. This event was created to allow high school students an opportunity to compete in 10 hands-on events that directly correlate to the National landscape industry certification program. There were 20 schools and over 200 students from around the state competing, and our DACC students brought home some hardware.

Nathan Zimdars received silver medal in Landscape Cost Estimating.
Ben Vucelich and Libby Boyer received a silver medal in Hardscape/Paver Installation.
Ben Vucelich and Nathan Zimdars received a silver medal in Landscape Maintenance Operations.
Ben Vucelich and Nathan Zimdars received a silver medal in Truck and Trailer Operation.

Ben Vucelich was 1st place individual overall out of more than 200 students and received a $100 gift card as well as a plaque for his accomplishments.
