United Way Donation

February 1, 2010

DACC’s Career Graphics students worked to raise $2,149 for the United Way of Delaware, Ohio.

The fundraiser is part of an annual effort in Mr. Jim Beck’s and Mrs. Jackie Brooks’ Career Graphics class. This year, the fundraiser was led by students, Tiffany Penhorwood and Bridget Strait. They created the flyers to let people know about the fundraiser, collected the money and managed the financial spreadsheets that were given to the United Way. The girls said the activity helped them learn organization skills, responsibility, and how to work with spreadsheets.

Laurie Cox, Campaign Director of the United Way came out to the North campus to thank the class and give them United Way t-shirts.

Thanks to all the students who participated and the staff who donated!
