DACC Participates in the Delaware County Fair

September 21, 2011

Have you made it out to the Little Brown Jug at the Delaware County Fairgrounds this year? If so, you may have seen our students or the work they’ve done.

Before the fair even began, our Construction Technology and Landscaping students were hard at work preparing the fairgrounds. From the homepage of the Little Brown Jug,

“Students from the Delaware Area Career Center's Construction Technology and Landscape Design classes stand with instructor Gene Scott to show off one of their most recent projects, the redesign of the patio at the Log Cabin. Gary Kessler, an instructor at DACC, (not pictured) has also spent time on this project. ‘What these kids are doing is a testament to how well the community works with DACC,’ said Tom Thomson, Director of Racing Little Brown Jug.”

Our Fire Safety students also attended the fair on Monday to perform demonstrations and to take time speaking to children about the dangers of fire and what they need to know.
