Big Walnut/DACC Students Place 2nd at Equine State Competition

On April 2nd, Big Walnut/DACC Agriculture students participated in the State Equine Judging Competition. The contest consisted in judging:
a. Two halter classes of four horses
b. One performance class of four horses
c. A tack and equipment identification session
d. A written examination of 50 questions
e. Placing one class of hay based on quality

The team placed 2nd in the overall competition, and will return to compete for final placings on May 5th. On the 5th, they will judge two classes of horses and then give oral reasons as to why they placed them the way that they did.
